Missions
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Mathew 25:35
With Jesus as our leader and encourager, the Frankenmuth United Methodist Church reaches out in mission to those in need. There is always "Another Mission Opportunity" for each of us - child, youth and adults! Where do you find yourself in the following examples?
Praying using our Frankenmuth UMC Prayer Calendar of Mission Opportunities
Volunteering at "The Clothesline" thrift shop in Frankenmuth; wrapping Christmas gifts at the Saginaw Rescue Mission; Hispanic Ministry Shalom "Angel in Action".
Participation in a mission trip to Cass Community Center in Detroit; Appalachia Service Project; Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Illinois; Haiti or Liberia, our covenant partners.
Fighting hunger with your garden through Plant-A-Row for the Hungry; Crop Walk.
Participating in the Mid-High Mission Possible Camp; Vacation Bible School mission sessions; United Methodist Women.
Making school bags, school kits, health kits, layette kits, flood kits for distribution through United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
Building in Saginaw County with Habitat for Humanity; rebuilding together.
Donating clothing, food, school supplies, Christmas gifts.
