The Frankenmuth United Methodist Preschool Program began in 1974. The
program is non-profit and licensed by the State of Michigan.
Our program offers a friendly Christian atmosphere designed to encourage and
enhance children's spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical
development. Our program offers sessions for 3 and 4 year olds. The 3-year old session meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from
9:00 – 11:15 a.m.
The 4-year old session meets
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from
9:00–11:15 a.m.
Curriculum
Our program encourages children to
explore new skills through interactive, cooperative play and group instruction.
We use a variety of learning styles to offer children opportunities for success
in a positive, Christian atmosphere. Highlights include:

the school year

About
Our Staff
Our
preschool staff includes two highly qualified teachers.
Karen Ostrofsky joined our staff in 2007
and is the program director. She has a bachelor's
degree from Michigan State University and holds an elementary teaching
certificate as well as an Early Childhood Endorsement from Saginaw Valley State
University. She previously substituted within the Frankenmuth School
District.
Heide
Ball is our former program director and has been with our program since 1985.
She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from
Michigan
State
University.
Parent
Participation
The
Frankenmuth United Methodist Preschool welcomes parents to participate in class
sessions, but participation is not a requirement. Parents are encouraged to spend the day with their child during
their special person week, as well as attend special parties and events.
Parents are needed to help with transportation for all field trips.
Facility
The preschool
uses two connecting rooms on the north end of the 2003 church addition.
One room is carpeted and the other has a tile floor.
Both rooms have their own restroom facilities.

Tuition/Fees
The
Frankenmuth United Methodist Preschool is a non-profit program.
Our tuition covers teacher salaries, all supplies, materials and daily
snacks.
For the 2008-2009 school year, the tuition is as follows:
3-year olds
$510
or 3 payments of $175
4-year olds
$660
or 3 payments of $225
Priority enrollment for
Frankenmuth
United
Methodist
Church members begins in January for the following school year.
Open registration for non-church members begins in February for the
following school year.
A non-refundable registration fee of $25 is required at
the time of enrollment.
